100% Egyptian Cotton Pillowcases for the Perfect Night's Sleep.

Néarr's pillowcases are made and produced in Egypt. They are made from the world's most beloved cotton type, Egyptian cotton. Egyptian cotton distinguishes itself from other cotton types by its long fibers, which make the fabric extra strong, soft, and durable.

Due to the long cotton fibers, our 100% Egyptian cotton pillowcases are stronger and less prone to wear and tear than regular cotton. This means you will enjoy your pillowcases for much longer! The smooth fibers create a super soft texture that not only offers you peace but also benefits your hair and skin. Unlike rough fabrics, our cotton minimizes friction, reducing the likelihood of skin irritations or frizzy/tangled hair.

Our pillowcases are breathable, moisture-regulating, and ensure you can enjoy a fresh and comfortable sleep ritual all year round. Complete your bedroom and combine our pillowcases with our 100% Egyptian cotton duvet covers and 100% Egyptian cotton fitted sheets.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Egyptian cotton grows along the banks of the Nile, where the unique climate and soil provide a perfect home for the cotton plant. During the day, the plant is warmed, at night it is cooled, and the fertile soil nourishes every fiber. This special interplay of nature ensures that the fibers can ripen slowly and completely. As a result, the fibers are extra-long and can be spun more finely, which makes for a softer and stronger thread.

Because the fibers are longer and finer, the fabric feels very soft. The suppleness of the fabric arises naturally from the fiber structure. Longer fibers break less easily, which means Egyptian cotton lasts longer than ordinary cotton. They retain their shape, pill less to hardly at all, and wear out less quickly.

Egyptian cotton breathes excellently, retains moisture without feeling wet, and regulates your body temperature. This is due to the natural properties of the cotton fiber itself, combined with the density of the fine spin.

TC, or Thread Count, refers to the thread density of a fabric. It indicates how many threads are woven per square inch, both horizontally and vertically. The higher the thread count, the finer, denser, and smoother the fabric feels. A higher Thread Count not only means more threads but also that high-quality fibers are used, such as the extra-long fibers of Egyptian cotton.

For standard cotton bedding, the thread count is often between 120TC and 180TC. Good quality cotton starts from 200TC. With our 400TC Egyptian cotton bedding, you are in the premium segment, where the fabric feels extra soft and smooth, has a luxurious appearance, is strong and durable, and hardly, if at all, pills due to its fine and dense weave.

Egyptian cotton comes from a high-quality cotton variety grown in the warm, fertile climate of the Nile Valley. This cotton plant produces extra-long, strong, and smooth fibers. Thanks to these longer fibers, Egyptian cotton is softer, more luxurious, and more durable than ordinary cotton.

Ordinary cotton has shorter and less smooth fibers, making the fabric less strong and supple. Over time, ordinary cotton becomes rougher, wears out faster, and pills sooner.

Our 100% Egyptian cotton bedding from Néarr Bedding is woven with a finer and denser structure, which provides extra comfort, a soft surface, and minimal pilling. This dense weaving method is referred to as TC (Thread Count), which indicates the number of threads per square inch.

For comparison: standard cotton bedding usually has a thread count of 120TC to 180TC. Néarr Bedding's bedding has a high-quality 400TC, which ensures a visibly and tangibly more luxurious quality.

Thanks to the combination of extra-long fibers, a high thread count, luxurious softness, and durability, Egyptian cotton is the perfect choice for premium and comfortable bedding that you will enjoy longer.

When we say: 100% Egyptian, we really mean it. From cotton plant to your duvet cover, fitted sheet or pillowcase: everything is
produced in our own small workshop in Egypt. No mass production, no long chains with intermediate countries, and no compromises on quality. Only premium bedding, direct from the source to your bedroom.

Only women work in our workshop. In many families in Egypt, the family income is traditionally earned by the man, which is why we are extra proud that we can offer these skilled women an income of their own.

Every step of the production process is carried out by hand, precisely and with care. Because the entire production takes place in Egypt and we have a short supply chain, we can offer a fair price for both the artisans in Egypt and for the customer.

Wash the bedding at 30°C before first use. Afterwards, you can safely wash it at up to 40°C. Use a mild liquid detergent and avoid fabric softener to preserve the natural softness and moisture-regulating properties of Egyptian cotton.

Ideally, wash the bedding separately from heavy items and do not overload the washing machine. This keeps the fabric smooth and prevents wear and tear.

Preferably, air-dry the bedding. Thanks to Egyptian cotton's excellent moisture regulation, it will dry in a short time. If you do use a dryer, always choose the lowest setting. It is also best to iron at the lowest temperature.

Wash the bedding inside out, with the zipper as closed as possible. Avoid direct bright sunlight during drying to prevent discoloration.
